Hu Jintao huh? Guess I have some homework ahead. As to Gorby, I consider him to be Churchillian in the respect that he got unceremoniously dumped after his glasnost paved the way to a revolution. "You don't know what you've got till it's gone" is more than a song lyric. It is why the popular will of a majority rarely impresses me. Generally, people vote their wallet. If the wallet is in good shape, they vote their bias, often steeped in family tradition. More than a few good leaders have been felled by shortsighted self-interest.
