The focus now changes to the institutional share holders. Reports indicate that they own about 57% of the outstanding shares, and will not be concerned with the niceties of HWP traditions, Christmas past or Christmas present. Friends are friends but money is money.

Something not considered is this...and its a big factor...

Many Mutual Funds own both CPQ and HWP shares....they are guaranteed to vote for the merger. Anyone who owns 100 shares of both companies would benefit from the merger.

My mule Blossom pointed this out to me this morning as we re-discussed the Monday Plan... We are also working on a backup plan should my pre market order at $9.65 not get filled.
