no, VZ should offer the same rate like cable modems. YOu pay a basic $39 a month rate for cable(voice) and the on top of that you pay $49.95 a month for all you can use data. then offer data with unlimited amount during off peak and limit the speed somewhat during peak hours. (4-7PM and 6-9am).

But, I thought the $49.95 per month for "all you can eat data" was too expensive? But, even at those rates. Data is generating much less $ per Mhz than voice!

So they have to invest Billions in order to generate less $ per Mhz than they currently generate in a Voice/MDR business model!

Take that to a bank as a business plan!!

I now generate .10 cents a minute using a data rate of 9.6kbs in my existing spectrum.. I now want to spend Billions of dollars on system upgrades and Billions of dollars on new spectrum so that I can generate .03 cents a minute using a data rate of 100kbs? Don't you think a banker is going to ask?? Why do you want to do this? Because they are!!

Let's see.. MCOM failed because they were "too expensive" providing "flat all you can eat" mobile data services at $49.95. And they were operating in "No cost spectrum" in many markets.

And the masses have not shown up on the doorsteps of Traditional Wireless Service Providers (VZ,PCS)becuase 64kbs was too slow, and too expensive priced at the same rate as voice!

I am not trying to be argumentative.. It' s just does not make "common sense"..

Please note that I am capable of carrying on a conversation like an adult without making some sort of personal attack about your drinking habits!

Best Regards,
