16:13 Dec-09-01, 24 Kislev 5762 Ben-Eliezer Tells Cabinet 10 Senior Terrorists in PA Custody (IsraelNationalNews.com) Defense Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer told the cabinet today that despite reports from Yasser Arafat and PA sources to the contrary, only ten of the persons in custody may be classified as senior terrorists with the remaining persons being small players. Most of the terrorist leaders, who remain free, continue planning and ordering attacks Ben-Eliezer told the government ministers. He added that even those being held in PA custody are not being interrogated and no effort is being exerted to obtain information that would lead to additional arrests and the dismantling of the terrorist infrastructure. The minister added that at present, Israel had no alternative but to continue striking out at terrorists in the hope of averting major terror attacks.
