If you have not changed your Norton, that is not likely the problem. I don't use Norton, but I had the same problem with McAfee. At some point I decided it was too risky to run without maximum virus protection, so I turned everything on and forgot about it. I finally figured out what was going on after a complete reinstall of the OS and all my software. At least I got a clean disk out of the deal, but it sure was a lot of work that could have been avoided with change of a few parameters.
