I'm not aware of any chip made by SUNW that is as fast as the Pentium 4.

IBM makes 4 families of servers. The least capable are based on Intel chips. Many customers are finding that the lowest total cost of ownership to get a specific job done is realized when many servers are replaced by a few more capable machines. If speed is the objective, non-Intel based servers deliver. BTW, IBM sells CPU chips to other system vendors.
