Gandhi and Mandela led liberation movements from jail cells, without the blood of children on their hands. The US black civil rights movement did not have the blood of white children on its hands, although many black children and young men were massacred, lynched, and wrongfully imprisoned. Arafat cannot manage that from an opulent mansion, while his wife lives in Paris and is infamous for her extravagant shopping sprees. It seems that Palestinians are culturally unable to support a leader who does not lust after the the blood of innocents (something they vicariously enjoy?).
