Mani - "Where is everyone who was all over your when you made wrong bullish calls?"

Nice guy makes bullish calls every day of the week. He makes bullish calls when AMD goes from 48 to 8. Now it is going back up, and that is a "call"?

If AMD goes back to 12-13 next couple of weeks does that negate the "call"?

Joe

Mani:

"Nice call!!! Congratulations."

Thanks

"Needless to say I did participate in Friday's move but I am also fortunate that my short positioned was covered couple of days before that (that monster day up) after my stop losses kicked in. I guess I am thankful for that."

The technical formation prior to the move dictated a significant move...The problem with such a formation is that it doesn't necessarily predict the direction of the significant move although, in this instance, other indicators certainly strongly suggested to me an upward move. Glad you were protected...

"Where is everyone who was all over your when you made wrong bullish calls? And I am not just talking about Paul."

Many are still here and are relieved that AMD has finally demonstrated some strength...My wrong bullish calls usually derived out of a similar technical formation, which as mentioned, dictate a significant move but don't signal direction...My bullish bias for AMD resulted in my taking a bullish position each time this formation appeared previously...I'll be a little more cautious this next cycle when similar formations take shape as I have learned the hard way that significant negative AMD moves can and do occur out of such formations...

Do you seriously mean that ? Niceguy has been so wrong so often, that many gave up pointing out that even when he was wrong in the last few months. If you do some unbaised analysis, you'll find Niceguys ratio of right to wrong is way below dart-throwers in the last one year.

Maui.

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. This isn't TA. Good news was released at the same time the market's having a good stretch... it's not science. He's lucky sometimes, unlucky others. TA (nor NG) doesn't explain record processor units or revenues.
