"Does anyone remember when Sanders said in 1998 that Intel has never had heat on its back. Lets see how their execution is when they have competition breathing down their neck! I am not a fan of him, but you gotta give credit when it is due."

Mr. Sanders was fairly prescient with that statement...Seems to me that messed up P3 launches were the first result of AMD competition, a panic launch and marketing campaign for the P4, which may have something to do with the shutting down of major OEM distribution channels in North America, the second...and one might suggest that the thermometer is only at room temperature as yet...some SOI and Hammer "hard" data should crank up the heat to near boiling...INTC's failing response to the moderate amount of heat applied by AMD to date does not augur well for future INTC responses, imo!!!
