Kemble - Splits? $100 Billion? Please, get a grip.

The PC business is shrinking, not growing, and the whole market may not be $100B in a few years. DELL is struggling to maintain FLAT revenues. Sure they have unit growth but ASPs are falling faster than units are growing. See last earnings if you have any doubts.

They will be doing well to get to $50B in 5 years - that would require growing revenues by better than 10%, something that seems unlikely in a flat environment with falling prices. That's not the kind of performance that would grow the stock price significantly.

I know you are always looking for the silver lining, but I think DELL investors need to set their sights a little lower. I will be surprised and delighted if I see a 10% annual return, and am expecting something more like 5%...
