I'll just grab this grub and hang on... and if we do happen by some miracle, to get in touch again, I'll be wondering how she got to be so old and not changed. After all, it's only been, what, forty years? One thing that won't have changed is her hair color except that now it will be naturally silver instead of various shades of platinum blonde that she used to dye it. I wonder if it would be better avoid a lot of potential disappointment by not getting in touch again? I'd hate for either of our illusions turn out to be delusions; hell, she may not even remember me at all. THAT would be a primo ego & dream destroyer, wouldn't it? Why is it I can remember the color of her hair and the name, Vera, of one of her girlfriends from 40 yrs ago and I can't remember either of my own granddaughter's middle names? Sometimes memory really sucks, doesn't it Chas·illusionordelusionorjustsenile?
