Unlike you, I am not convinced that AMD has disengaged from Intels shadow. I have yet a see AMD do well on a sustained basis, when Intel has done poorly.

No right now. I have not held AMD stocks much. I did have options, but most of the time they expired worthless (I held most of them after the run up in mid 2000). Most of my holding is in INTC, MSFT, CSCO, SUNW and ORCL. I make sure to write covered calls.

I will not get into AMD until after I see Hammer. Another scenerio, I see AMD doing well is when demand shoots up and Intel is not able to supply enough (like the current situation with P4, but something not as temporary as the P4 situation).
