I was just remembering a mission, I went on in 1988. A friend of mine, in my Bible Study, asked me to go to
Mexico. It was the only time, I have ever been to Mexico. It serves to remind me of how things appear one way, and are really something different. We are on His schedule, and I was certainly then and I am now. He is in control!!

A couple of observations:

I was given a big bag of socks to match. Not one matched. I was in favor of going to target to buy new ones. I still went about dillegently matching the pairs.

I was helping in an orphanage while I was there. I got to wash the hair of the boys and the girls to get then prepared for Easter. They were so pliable and trusted me not to get soap in their eyes. That was a trial!

We were driving on Easter Day, and it was the only Easter, that I missed Church. I am sure someone who saw me at
7-Eleven thought I was not a believer, because I was not at Church,or even dressed for Church.

Things are not always what they seem. Thankfully, God is aware of that! He IS in control!!

Dear Westi : I share in your joy about Petey...WOW !! I have always said that the victory is gained at the altar. I believe that you can make an altar on the side of a highway, or in a closet or in your car. I thank God for the anointing He has placed upon you. I am continuing to pray that the seed that has become alive will flourish and remain. At first the seed becomes a 'shoot', then the blade develops and finally the head develops. Once salvation becomes firmly implanted in the head it is very difficult to dislodge a believer. But God is faithful also. We still have to pray that Petey is not dislodged..God is faithful but the enemy is persistant..Petey has an uphill struggle ahead of him. We must remember him often . He must get founded in a great church and thanks to you he is making that great step.In Christ.gregor
