I don't think so. Do you have any links confirming that it was working? I'm pretty sure the chipset would have been far from finished at the first time the system was being demoed. You don't simply change something like a front side bus interface at the last minute - it's a fantasy that the AMDroids have because they think that choosing Intel over AMD had to only be a losing proposition for both Intel and Microsoft. It's the only way they can justify AMD's loss in their minds. Like many of the AMDroid theories, you seem to have an easy time accepting them over reality.

Well, Athlon Classic and Coppermine at the same clock speed are nearly identical performers, so naturally MSFT entertain offers and go with the lowest cost... As far as HT goes, there's nothing available that's even close, so that's sort of a no-brainer. Of course, there's no revenue in it for AMD, but it helps spread a standard and helps get AMD taken more seriously.
