If you check, the Prime rate is well above the Discount rate -- the thing the fed diddles around with. So while the fed can fool around with the overnight rate the prime is a *WHOLE* different story.

IMO, the fed's about done with the loose money scenerio 'till it finds out the **it is still deep.
