don't know, what about using the headphone jack to attach a patch to a jogger/walker that measures metabolic rates or whatever it is those body-obsessed people want to track? In an emergency it could be programmed to autodial the nearest hospital, and in its calmest computer voice say, "He's fallen, and he can't get up."

That's certainly a neat product concept.

However, the computing power in a modern wrist-watch exceeds that of the Appolo spacecraft. If 300 baud & a fraction of a wrist-watch is good enough for moon-landing telemetry for three astronauts, I suspect 56 Kb is overkill even for the most bio-focussed terrestrial fitness freak.
