CFX-5 Porting to HP-UX 11i on HP's Intel Itanium

WATERLOO & ONTARIO, Canada--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 4, 2001-- CFX, a division of AEA Technology plc today announced that it has started a porting program for its flagship Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) product, CFX-5, to HP's Intel Itanium chip running HP-UX 11i.

Commercial release of native IA-64 binaries is expected mid-2002.

HP is a leader in developing IA-64 with Intel and we expect that their support of HP-UX11i on their new Itanium platforms will give CFX customers a stable and very fast simulation platform for running CFX-5.
