You are dead wrong. Notice, for example, how the violence between Hezbollah and Israel along the Lebanese border has gone to virtually zero since Israel pulled out of its occupation of Southern Lebanon.

If that is true then it is a good thing but one of the big reasons for the occupation in the first place was to supress violence from across the border. Unfortunately I doubt that chalu2 is dead wrong on this. Most Palestinian "resistance" groups call for the destruction of Israel. They consider the "occupation" that they are resisting to be Israeli control of any territory in the region.
