What a comfort it is to know that, despite the brutal murder of a fine young woman, the defamation and career crucifixion of a talented teacher, the rampant mis-, mal- and nonfeasance of local law enforcement, and the fact that a killer is still at large, the boys and girls of Yale still observe their longstanding tradition of smug self-absorption. All fears that reality might darken their "bright college days" may (in light of previous posts) now be laid to rest: apparently, no loss of life, liberty or humanity can shock them out of their sophomoric, self-gratifying waggery and wise ass-ism. These young "opinion leaders" are unencumbered by compassion, empathy or respect for those who have died or for those who grieve.
"Jeo, esq." and "don't want to get beaten up..." have my sincere sympathy.

Dear I Brake For Leftsist --
I am a lecturer in the English Department. I use my real name. How about you? Did you not read my initial post here? I take this case very seriously.

Despite our "off-topic" discussion, I know that Ms. Weber has, as I have, been deeply affected by the tragedy. If you read the Daily News regularly, you must have noticed this. I do agree with you that many mistakes were made during the investigation and all I wish is that that the truth is reached soon. But I also hope the "anti-leftist" postings on this site stop before they become even more fascist.
We all miss Suzanne terribly. HD.
