Beamer - Re: "But until there is proof of systems selling, the AMDroids will still see things like this as press release toilet paper"

Doesn't matter what the AMDroids think.

Hell - it's almost 2002 and those whiney a$$holes are still bellyaching about Intel's XBOX design win nearly TWO YEARS AGO !!!.

The DROIDS believe it was their DIVINE RIGHT to have AMD inside the XBOX - and to this day they are in DENIAL that it is an Intel CPU that powers every single XBOX that is manufactured by the benevolent Microsoft Corporation !

RE:"Thanks - it's nice to see another Itanium design win. But until there is proof of systems selling, the AMDroids will still see things like this as press release toilet paper. A lot seems riding on McKinley being all it's hyped up to be."

Fear not. Intel has at least a year to get the Itanium going, bugs worked out. Hammer could have hurt, if it was on time but as usual, it wasn't.
Leave it to Sanders to pluck defeat from the jaws of victory, no?
