"Bash away all you want to"

This is where you and I differ, and in my opinion where the demos and repubs differ. To me you can "bash away all you want" if you are being honest with your criticism. To most demos this is not a concern. If it is your average joe-blow that lies to make his point I don't care, but when our politicians lie to make their point it is not ok. Particularly when it is about one's character. I have asked at least one demo poster here if it is ok to lie to make your point and they said it was fine.

That seems weird to me, but it does explain why Clinton's escapades were ok with so many of them because lying is no big deal. To many (including Clinton imo) it is an accepted way to communicate.
