seahawks' qb situation:

well hasselback should be 3rd string behind huard and dilfer.

they should be having huard throw fades and deep or throwing it away, and run the ball most of the time.

they came out throwing against denver and it worked at first then it bit them.

they should have run all the time. this was a game where they could have simply dominated denver at the line but they tried to finesse their way instead.

now if hasselbeck hadn't thrown 2 interceptions my argument wouldn't hold as much weight, but as it was he was 17 of 37 with 1 td and 2 ints.

i thought that 30+ carries to alexander would have won them the game. holmgren gives up on alexander too soon. you have to keep pounding... all of those incomplete passes stop the clock, and limit time of possession. when you throw that much you have to be good and they weren't consistently that...

the defense as well got shredded by terrell davis...

it's been mentioned here that, at the season start the seahawks were thought to have been one of the better teams. before the season started i was predicting 6 wins at most, and at best 2-6 in the afc west. they still have a shot at 10-6 with 5-3 in the afc west. something is going to have to change for them in the meantime though...

on paper they could 'win out' with games against san diego, kansas city, dallas, and the giants... but 4 games is a lot to think of when they haven't been able to get anything like that generated all year.
