Hi Poet. You need a revolving door. <g> (Sorry, couldn't resist.) First, I am sorry but I haven't seen anything leading me to believe that CH made a legal threat against you or SI. Do you have something concrete? Second, you have always needed your pads on the hockey threads. it seems to me that the ugliness waxes and wanes as do the issues.... And of course, I'm sure you know I feel that anything that BIA, WS or Solon posts on these threads is fair game for comment. In any event, happy holidays and peace to you and your family as well.... Let's be fair about this. This is what you originally wrote indicating you had been threatened: Message 16674069 Now it appears to me that those two Ihub posts should be read as indicating the possibility of of a suit against SI. I do not see that they can be read as a threat to sue you. I agree with you that CH should honor your request that he stop posting to you. I posted exactly that sentiment to him. As far as BIA and Win are concerned, they have stated that we ("we" being some sort of collective right wing group) have issued threats against liberals. That "we" is challenging them to prove their scurrilous and libelous assertions. This same claim was made by liberal on the Impeach GWB thread- -and we have repeatedly challenged her to prove her claim. We still await that proof. Frankly, I do not regard a challenge issued by us for someone to prove a slander against us as unreasonable. Would you not feel the same if you were the subject of such claims?

Poet: I looked at this and decided that Christopher had misrepresented you, although I thought he may have been more careless than malicious. Nevertheless, I made it clear that I thought he ought to defend himself or take it back. I did not cut him off, but then, I respond to almost anyone. Looking at the IHub posts, I did not see him as threatening you with a lawsuit, and it seemed too coy to make much of even about SI, in any case. I am sorry you are gone. I do think it is ironic, though, that you mention a bunch of people who are at least as guilty as any conservative here of making this a nastier place as your champions. In any event, I hope you have a very happy holiday season, and that the New Year is good to you and your family.
