I get upset when either side lies. The dems really like the argument that "everybody does it" when they are caught in a lie. In the case we are discussing, Ashcroft says he is backed by the law, and SOME demos say he is not. Sounds pretty easy to settle, but don't see anyone posting the law that Ashcroft is referring to. Makes me suspicious.

If I learn that Ashcroft is lying I will definately think less of him. But I think he has spoken the truth, and been attacked with allegations by people who have no facts. Which would fit my descritption of "destructive criticism".
