"Niceguy, I almost pulled the trigger and sold most of my shares today. AMD has been very, very good to me lately. I decided not to hit the 'accept' button since techs are down a bit, but AMD has held up well. It seems to me from here the market will go sideways for a good while. AMD has given some good comment to investors, so I figure they should also trade sideways ... at worst."

Like you, I have decided to sit tight as the latest AMD release indicates that AMD has turned the corner and, as such, the bias going forward is up, imo...Record shipments and record PC processor revenues at this stage of the cycle (normally a 2 to 4 year cycle), even if recovery isn't underway (possible but highly unlikely given inventory shortages of PC processors, imo) portends exceedingly strong earnings once economic recovery momentum gains strength...(Unbelievably positive that AMD can be shipping record units and reaping record revenues in face of the INTC P4 marketing push and all the dirty??? tactics that go along with that)...AMD now is much better positioned both in competitive product lineup and in financials, imo, now than 2 years ago when it ran from $18 to $97.50...If the timing is right (i.e. economic recovery now underway (and why not with an accommodative fed)), I'm certainly comfortable looking for $23 by the end of January and $30 by the end of April, if not a whole lot sooner!!!

"At least now, I'm gambling with my winnings."

Nice...Congrats!!!
