If this tape says what the Administration says it says, and is for real, I cannot understand why the lunkheads have not distributed it everywhere already! What are they waiting for?

Maybe the CIA wants to make sure that they get the tape exactly right.... :-)

My understanding is that CIA wanted to make absolutely certain of transcripts of the translation. They want to use his own words.

They want to make sure that they won't be hanging the procurer of the tape out to dry. Save the source. Nice idea.
