MSFT moving on another front:

Microsoft (MSFT, Trade) is preparing an upgrade to its Windows Media player and server. To be demonstrated at Internet World Tuesday, according to Bloomberg, the new Microsoft technology eliminates the delay before a streamed audio or video program plays, doubles the number of people who can receive programming from one server to almost 20,000, and improves audio and video quality at lower connection speeds. Windows Media Services will be included in Microsoft's next version of Windows for servers, next year, and a new player for consumers will be released then, too.
