I wonder if these Senators realize the C block licenses are subject to cancellation once 1/03/02 rolls around and subsequent litigation will find the FCC swinging their regulatory sword this go around. No more putzing around bankruptcy courts as a creditor. The Consumers Union letter did not mention the consequences of failing to meet buildout requirements, only the duration of the license, as you pointed out, so maybe these Senators just aren't aware of the implications of the 12/31/01 deadline. However, you can bet your bottom dollar the lobbyist for NextWave knows the score and the time left on the clock. I think Rush Limbaugh needs to get involved here <G> Ron
