The stupidity of that statement - that the poor have no business risking their retirements in the stock market - shows such an abysmal lack of economic understanding. The same wealth generating persons and businesses are depended upon whether the government pays or the system is privatized. If wealth is not generated the government is screwed. That is why Russia can't pay its' pensions. They ran the ponzi scheme until it was out of gas. We just haven't gotten that far yet.
