You use the word "claim" in a technical sense which does not conform to its usual meanings. Would you agree? See dictionary.com* for its standard meanings.

Many people regard the Bible as divinely inspired. Many do not. Among "believers" there are those who take the Bible at "face value" and those who see layers of esoteric import. My personal view is that God did not give us reason as an impediment to knowing Him. He may be subtle, but not devious, and the "Book of Life" is as good a source text as any.
