Jay, I've never tried asking the rep on the phone for running market depths on several stocks, but I suppose it might work, though it wouldn't be quite like seeing the data displayed on my own screen.

Have you been able to do that?

In my case, I don't expect anyone to make up for losses, or participate in gains, that I incur, but it doesn't mean I don't find it very inconvenient when CSW, or Action Direct, or StockCharts, or Sympatico, or the internet in general, aren't working properly.

It helps some, to vent, but it does often cost me money.

In the past, I've used both high-speed phone company access and cable access, for the internet. I expect I'll be going back to that set-up.

As for CSW, it would be great to find a cost effective alternative to use as a back-up.

Jay,
Obviously I could get real time quotes via my broker's website but that doesn't give me price depth or charts. CSW's service seems to be lacking in many areas, not just this morning. They never offer rebates or discounts for poor service, regardless of the reason. And the day a competitor opens shop, their business will drop like a stone.
