ZContest thoughts - the important thing to remember is that the winner wins by having the biggest percentage move. so low price stocks are more likely to provide the january oooooomph than higher priced spreads. Susie, you shopping that truck for the Zcontest winner???? please get the dings out of you are. larry

it's going to be a tough one to pick a BIG winner ... will look this weekend just a thought and guesss here .... today the fomc meets (I believe) street is looking for .25 lower so .... it we get it .... market sells off fast .... since it's flat as a board, most all day just down into the red a bit ... mebbee not quite that mush of a dip ... going to be a 'dip' buy opportunity around 3 pm est just a guess

Ok here are my two, both longs. ADCT, clean no debt balance sheet, good news lately, insider buying, uptrend. MERX, this one is a sleeper, but hearing info that orders are picking up for the likes of SANM, FLEX and since MERX's largest customer is CSCO. Figure have to be seeing orders picking up as well. They report earnings on 12/18.

ZSTOCK CONTEST DEADLINE 12-28-2001 Contest Rules: 1. The contest is open to Silicon Investor members and lurkers. 2. Each participant is to pick 2 stocks either long or short. 3. The Buy price will be the closing price on 12/28/2001, and the sell price will be the close on 1/31/2002, or anytime during the contest. If you sell, then your gain or loss on this particular stock is locked in for the duration of the contest. Once a stock is sold prior to 1/31/02, that money CANNOT be re-invested. 4. Please include a brief summary, TA, FA, or whatever if possible. 5. The contestant with the greatest percent increase in their 2 picks averaged together will be the winner. 6.
