Hi Peter,

Given the difficulty of making short term calls on direction, I do not view the "long-term upward bias" as a small hurdle for shorting. In fact, I think it is a significant argument against sustainable profitability of the practice.

Just to "prove" Bulba's thesis, that shorts are not too smart - I am short BKS, DDS and JCP.

Peter please note, that these companies have NO PIPELINE, WILL NOT GET FDA APPROVAL, CAN'T ENROLL PATIENTS and sell TOXIC PRODUCTS. :-)

...a stock in a given period has about as much chance of going down say 50% as of going up the same 50%.
Peter: With all due respect, my guess is the total number of five-baggers and ten-baggers from your longs has easily exceeded the total number of 50% (or greater) gains on your shorts.
