This fiasco has little to do with Irwin Jacobs, OmniTRACS or Globalstar, it's about providing services in the specified time frame as outlined by the FCC. If Globalstar is to succeed it should be without a windfall profit from the sale of public spectrum from a company who has failed to live up to their obligations. The purpose of the FCC auctions does not include selling licenses for profit and potentially investing that money as seen fit by the profiteers. In twelve days NextWave will be in violation of their five year buildout requirement and their C block property rights should be terminated in accordance to contractual agreements. Ron

Maurice: Allen Salmasi obviously was persuaded that it was better to settle and live to fight another day. WHY SETTLE!! They have their dream!! Licenses in hand! They have had them for almost 6 months!! Why didn't they just do what they THREATENED to do? Sure, it's easy to "talk the talk" but, harder to "walk the walk" If you think that he is just trying to get money, you are off your rocker! Irwin Jacobs, Allen Salmasi and their ilk aren't interested in scamming money, they built OmniTRACS, Globalstar and then a lot more besides. Someday you will realize the error in your thinking.. Like I said earlier.. Speculator's THREATEN to build Communications Networks. Legitimate Business BUILD Communication Networks. Nextwave has held Detroit, MI, Madison, WI, El Centro, CA, Springfield, MA, Pittsfield, MA for 5 years.. No litigation.. No on again, off again.. In July, Nextwave THREATENED to build out Madison, WI, and Detroit, MI to launch by April.. I have followed LWIN's market by market build out.. And I can show you in almost EVERY CASE where City Council's had to vote on tower locations, and even antennas being added to existing towers. Here is one of LWIN's for Lincoln, NE.. ci.lincoln.ne.us I can tell you that since July..
