John, RE: Is PE doing anything wrong by posting information obtained (assumption, I'm not sure he has any hard info) from an insider?

Paul owns Intel stock. He trades Intel options from time to time.

If he receives inside information from a source, he either needs to stop trading Intel stock, or tell his source to either clam up or convince Intel to start disclosing this information publicly.

My gut feel is that he would be doing more wrong by keeping silent and trading on the info.

I'd agree.

My gut feel, though, is that Paul liked having us think that he had inside information, and would remain silent when Elmer brought it up. That's why I brought it up.

In reality, I doubt that Paul is in possession of any material non public information, and thus could tell us exactly what evidence he had of XBox's profitability if he so desired.
