It remains true that certain fundamental rights to life and property are maintained even by an infant, though someone may have to act as a guardian until maturity. That person is held accountable for acting on the behalf of the ward.

No one is going to hound anyone about miscarriages. In fact, no one intends to try the mother at all, at least until late in the term. The idea is to curb abortion providers.

The point is that the ultimate fate of the individual is too unpredictable to use it as the basis of arguing for abortion. Population limitation should rely on birth control, not abortion......
