I don't know very much about Ashcroft's personal life. We have read how Ashcroft obstructed justice with integration in St. Louis. We know he is a fanatic about guns: everyone should have them, and I believe he supports a person's right to carry a concealed weapon --- even if it is near a school. He might have changed his mind about the schools. I don't know. There are professionals who have read his statements, looked at his actions, and then called Ashcroft, "a fascist." Let's not forget his speech at Bob Jones University, a very-right wing place. Let's not forget that Ashcroft published an article in a magazine that is pro-KKK, and has said very nasty things about LINCOLN or other Presidents because they defended Civil Rights for black Americans. I'll have to look up the article that he published if I can find it. I believe I have a copy of the Ashcroft speech at Bob Jones University.
