PIIIs (and Celerons at 0.18 micron) tend to bin out at around 866MHz or lower.

He meant to say PIIIs (and Celerons) at 0.18 micron tend to bin out at around 866MHz or lower.

I think he's wrong anyway.

"Why is it that Fry's, Circuit City and CompUSA are stuffed with 1 GHz - 1.2 Ghz Notebook computers (Pentium ///) and 900 MHz to 1.2 Ghz Celeron PCs?"

Because they are on 0.13 micron and I was talking about 0.18 micron? But why let facts confuse you?

"The fastest mobile AthWiper is stuck at 1 GHz "

Of course, that is wrong. But don't let that stop you...

"and there are only 1 or 2 of these per store - and THEY ARE NOT SELLING !! "

Hmm, so now you are putting identifiers on the machines so you can track this? Or is it a gut feeling? I guess things are different where you are, I see a fair percentage (sometimes more that 50%) of the laptops around here with AMD processors. I have no idea of how fast they sell, though...
