Lol. Maybe is right. Bush wants to help provide healthcare for the unemployed. The dems don't. The dems do not care about America, all they care about is winning the next election. Shame on them, and shame on their supporters. It is time for everyone to see what a sham they are. Worthless hyporcrites.

More Bad News For Democrats
by JohnHuang2

Two potential avenues of attack for Democrats eager to discredit the President's credentials as wartime leader are already beginning to face major roadblocks.

Let's take the first one: The economy.

Reeling from the horrors of September of 11, buffeted by a year-long slow down, the economy was essentially left for dead -- at least as far as most economists were concerned. The plunge in consumer confidence -- a key index since consumer purchases account for roughly 3/4 of total economic activity -- spawned a torrent of gloomy forecasts. The consensus called for a very protracted and very pronounced decline in economic activity.

The political implications were glaring. Democrats, frustrated by Bush's immense popularity at home and dismayed by his commanding performance abroad, were champing at the bit to go on the offensive.

With each new batch of glum economic reports -- from spiking unemployment to plummeting retail sales -- the Democrats, in a sick sort of way, grew more hopeful, more buoyant, more upbeat.

Liberals were certain they had finally found -- at long last -- that chink in Bush's armor, the proverbial *Kryptonite* to weaken and wither their 'Superman' nemesis. The more unemployment, the greater the hardship and anguish, the better for Daschle and his ilk politically.

"It's the economy, stupid!" The Democrat National Committee, headed by notorious Bush-hater Terry McAuliffe, plans on running a series of vicious, negative/attack ads linking the President to the "recession".

However, new figures from the closely watched National Association of Purchasing Management might give Democrats reason to pause. While it's too early for sound predictions, the numbers suggest the economy may have already decisively turned the corner. After sinking to a record-low of 40.6 in October, the (non-manufacturing) NAPM index (which measures 4/5 of all economic activity) surged to a stunning 51.3 in November. Readings over 50 signal expansion. The upsurge, needless to say, caught most "experts" by surprise. "Analysts" had expected only a modest gain (from 40.6 to 42.7).

While Democrats and their media cheering section hope the news is nothing more than a statistical anomaly -- 'fuzzy math', as the President once quipped -- the upswing in key sectors of the economy suggests otherwise. On Wall Street, the bullish report led stocks to levels not seen since late August, prior to the attacks of September 11.

The boost in the index of 'new orders', a crystal ball of prospective business activity, will be seen as especially bad news at DNC headquarters.

Again, it may be a tad early, but it's worth noting that yesterday's upbeat report follows on the heels of Monday's more closely watched NAPM scoop on manufacturing for November, which also signaled a rebound: The index rose from 39.8 to 44.5. "Experts" were baffled. Most looked for a paltry increase to 41.6, at best.

My intrepid prediction: More stunning "surprises" lie in store for the pinheads. My hunch is that "analysts" vastly underestimated the resilience, bounce and underlying sturdiness of the American economy. Sort of like the way the media does our military.

All of which spells bad news for Democrats.

The other, rapidly closing potential avenue of attack involves the growing confidence among senior ranking military commanders that Osama Bin Laden's days are numbered.

Bush's enemies secretly hoped Bin Laden had somehow escaped, perhaps into neighboring Pakistan, allowing the haters to argue that the mission had failed to deliver.

Their media lap-dogs, of course, would trumpet the escape as a humiliating blow to Bush, a failure of colossal dimensions.

However, here too, recent developments are not exactly encouraging -- for the haters.

The fierce, intense battle near the cave complex of Tora Bora is the sharpest indication yet that Osama's defeat is just a stone's throw away.

Rear Adm. John Stufflebeem at the Pentagon confirmed that U.S. Special Forces were in the area near the camp, where Bin Laden is believed to be holed up, gathering intel and assisting B-52 pilots in their bombing campaign.

Over two thousand indigenous tribal fighters battled al-Qaeda terrorists loyal to Osama Bin Laden in the foothills nigh the village of Tora Bora. Reports from the field indicate that anti-Taliban forces made dramatic gains, forcing the enemy to retreat to higher ground. Every possible avenue of escape for Bin Laden and his henchmen were quickly being sealed off.

The monster who masterminded and bankrolled the murder of thousands of innocent Americans is now completely surrounded.

Memo to the Dems: Better check your shorts.

I smell victory.

My two cents..
