Point being (as you note), I didn't know her (if she was a she)...personally. I only knew "her" alias. Her alias wasn't very intelligent when it came to this stock. So, I'm supposed to feel bad about someone posting that her alias has passed away? I really don't know about that. Do you?

Boogieman, if you are saying that simply reading someone's posts on a message board doesn't mean we really know the person behind the alias, I agree. Therein lies the problem. I'm sure if most of us met Ellen we'd find her a charming person in many respects. I think, as humans, we can mourn the passing of someone who no doubt was loved by many close to her. However, all we see here in cyberspace is the character "Ellen" who many of us will not miss. I think the best thing anyone can do to honor the real Ellen is to write a few paragraphs about the real person behind the alias. Mind you, no one is saying you have to. Just something that I felt needed to be proposed and won't bring up again.
