I really don't have a formula, just something I look at. Of course when you see something with 30% of the float short that should be a no-go, something in the single digit percent wise may be reasonable.

XICO looks interesting, it keeps bouncing off $14. I don't know why the strength lately, but it may have something to do with it is about to begin trading options. But it has a nice looking chart which attracts the momo crowd, and it's a small cap... But only 1% of float was short as of Nov 8.

Wow, just checked WEBX... 40% of float shorted as of Nov 8. That's what I mean, why fight that crowd, find something else. And something very liquid.

Matter of fact, I'm gonna put that one on my screen, probably a good little stock to buy on dips for daytrading, with all those shorts... 18.1M float, shares short 7.37M,, maybe even more now.

Sell the calls naked on it! I've been doing this for a number of months now and picking up good premium and all have expired worthless so far!
