11:14 ET USB on Education Stocks : US Bancorp Piper Jaffray sees last night's passage of the education bill in the House/Senate conference as a potential boost to education stocks such as RLRN, LSPN, SLVN, REVU, RVDP. Bill raises fed education spending to $26.5 bln for 2002 (from $18 bln in 2001), and includes provisions for use of fed dollars for private tutoring, grades 3-8 testing, and federal school performance standards.
