When the government decides to warp the constitution in direct violation of our civil rights then my civil rights and your civil rights have been compromised. Just because my personal civil rights haven't yet been violated doesn't mean that civil rights haven't been compromised. When my fellow citizen's civil rights are violated then how long will it be before I'm hauled in for questioning, detained and/or harassed? What gives the government the right to invade my privacy by reading my emails and even monitoring the actions on my computer. They can because of their version of 'probable cause'. They might think I'm involved in illegal activities but they haven't the proof. Yet they can still monitor my shopping lists under the guise of national security. Hundreds of people are being detained because of 9/11. Those detained are being moved without the knowledge of their lawyers and families. They're only allowed one phone call per week. I'd like anyone to try and set up a defense under those conditions. It might take years to resolve all those cases(?) and at what cost to your civil rights. You might be detained just by the color of your skin, your religion, your place of birth, etc.... But that would never happen. No, not here. Not in the goo old USA.

So, we have one indictment so far. At this rate it'll take 5 years to resolve the cases of those detained. Are all of those detained guilty? How many will sue the government for violation of their civil rights. Probably won't be able to.

I just hope that the PATRIOTIC LAWS (my ass) passed by Congress and the Prez are challenged by the supreme court. Unfortunately, the 'conservatives' running this court have yet to understand what the term means.

P.S. Don't bother replying if your answer continues to be the same. I used the same trick with my colleagues, make them talk proving their point to minutia. Bores everyone to death and makes you look good. Do you look good?
