They wouldn't need to do that if the current legislation allowed him to provide the list to the FBI. But it can't, so Kennedy has to make new legislation.

And I hope that Kennedy won't paint someone as a tool of the NRA at the expense of American safety to make his points. Would be better off if he stuck to the facts imo.
