That's an excellent question. The paradox is based on the assumption that 'truth' is fixed and static when experience shows that it is often highly dynamic. This is particularly the case when "scientific fact" is concerned. You didn't mention what year your third-grade teacher put forth this view, but prior to the development of the theory of plate tectonics in the late 1960s the notion that continents were "fixed" and did not move was in conformity with mainstream scientific opinion.

Consider another example. At one point it was believed to be "true" that the sun revolved around the earth. Then it was believed to be "true" that the earth revolved around the sun. A few centuries ago people actually fought and died over such questions. But since Einstein's theory of relativity demolished the notion of absolute space nearly a century ago most scientists would now say that the question is irrelevant. The equations of motion are somewhat simpler if one uses the sun as a frame of reference, but the choice of such frame is arbitrary.

In truth, truth is a lot slipperier than we often imagine.

"Was that the truth?"

In her mind it was. But not in your mind (then and now).
Two different PERSONAL realities.

By the way, where can I read the personal testimony of
someone who was there when the continents shifted? Could you give me the URL? <ggg>

Even if you could, some people would believe it and others
wouldn't. Different PERSONAL realities. All of which having
NOTHING to do with the same ONE truth

Namaste!

Jim

Pawing the Tiger....

>>All the great teachers throughout history are representatives of the same ONE truth
I had this really great teacher in third grade. The only thing is she insisted that the continents didn't move and that that great fit between Europe and America, and Africa and South AMerica was just a coincidence. Was that the truth?
TP>>

If it's really great, good and special and full of light, energy and Love then there should be this natural "process of becoming" which is part of this ONE (1) river of truth which you would freely and unconditionally want to share.

Consider "the bottom line": IS THERE ENERGY???

IS THERE LIGHT??

IS THERE LOVE??

If the answer is YES, YES, YES then you'd found yourself in the River of the ONE Truth!!

Enjoy!!

Peace.

Light!

ONE - LOVE!

GO!!
