Alas, even public announcements do not a commitment make. And even if they should, a one line reference to a 200 MHz bus is hardly a strong statement of commitment.

(To me, that line suggests that Duron was the preliminary choice for X-Box only because nForce was concurrently being designed for K7. The reference to the 200 MHz bus was probably provided by nVidia before they knew Microsoft wanted Pentium III.)
