Hmmm, maybe the B2 (which some say is much closer to $2 billion per). EDIT: I saw one of those B2's flyover Game Seven of the World Series. It is freaky cool looking. Hell, man, I wouldn't last a minute if those started flying over and bombing me.

I believe it was the original B-1B (or whatever they called the precursor to the B-1B) that eventually was scrapped during the Carter administration. I believe the first two prototypes came in well over cost & were already outdated when they made their first test flights.

The B-1B almost never happened because of the cost overruns, etc., with the original, but Reagan was able to get funding for the next generation strategic bomber........... this is from memory AA, so it may not be a sure thing.
