News Release
Mr. Grant Ewing reports
Tahera has provided preliminary diamond results from caustic fusion analysis of a sample of kimberlite
float discovered on the Jericho claims (see news in Stockwatch Nov. 2, 2001).
The new occurrence of kimberlite float was discovered at the southern end of a prominent kimberlite
indicator mineral train which terminates approximately 900 metres west of the Jericho kimberlite. The
kimberlite float is relatively fresh and occurs as angular pebbles suggesting a proximal source.
A seven-kilogram sample of the float was processed at Kennecott's diamond laboratory in Thunder Bay,
Ont. The following preliminary diamond results were returned:

Kimberlite
processed
(kgs) 7

Total diamonds
recovered
(+0.15mm) 7

Diamonds
recovered
(+0.5mm 1 dimension) 6

Tahera is very encouraged by the large number of diamonds that were recovered from the small sample
of kimberlite float, and by the fact that a number of targets exist up ice from the float discovery.
Pursuant to the letter of understanding that Tahera signed with Kennecott Canada Exploration Inc. (a
member of the Rio Tinto Group of companies) to joint venture the Jericho claims, Kennecott is preparing
for an aggressive exploration program. Approximately 20 kimberlite targets will be tested during the
2002 exploration program on the Jericho claims.
