MM,

Good luck on you. I unloaded mostly all my long positions I purchased post 9.11 at around NAZ 1850. Just try to concentrate on my project and ignore the market actions.:) One big reason that I am certain that the tricks won't work this time, or for a long period of time, is the tremendous debt burden the average Joes have on their shoulders.

I was told that Americans are born to borrow and spend. However, where is the limit here? I have lots of colleagues who are annoyed that although they are paying off their debt on a monthly basis, their debt levels are increasing instead of decreasing. A lot of them failed to do a little bit math to find out that what they have been doing so far are to pay off the interest, only.

My exact question is, how stretched can the customers go, especially when the unemployment rate keeps creeping higher? To announce bankruptcy is an easily solution, but then you lose your house.
