The hard thing is prices will rise with unemployment and this will cause the FED to pump harder. The mechanism is insidious. By FED's statement yesterday they indicated that productivity will return to the level they imagined previously once the after effects of 911 have passed through. They couldn't be more wrong. AG doesn't understand that productivity can only grow when incentives rise. More money does not create incentive. In this current period less money does. They will never accept that and so they will fight it. That means throwing gasoline on the fire. Eventually the market will have to teach them the same lesson they all forgot or failed to learn in 1980.
